When I walked in a fashion magazine section at a bookstore, I felt very overwhelmed being surrounded by perfectly beautiful faces on covers. Then, I picked one of them which is thick and heavy. On each page, there are other perfect faces and again overwhelmed by this flood of beauty.
By cropping out all faces (including animals’) from page 1 to 100 of 491 pages of Love Magazine, and overlay them, the result of an organic black shape questions our (almost obsessive) sense of beauty.
